Home Inspections
Buying a home is one of the most significant investments you will make. My general home inspection service is designed to provide you with a clear, objective assessment of a property’s current, visible condition at the time of the inspection.
Drawing on my hands-on experience as a municipal building inspector and my active ICC and InterNACHI certifications, I evaluate the major systems and components of the home—from the foundation to the roof.
Thermal Imaging (Infrared) Services
Not all property conditions are visible to the naked eye. To provide a deeper level of insight, I utilize non-invasive thermal imaging camera during my inspections.
Infrared cameras detect subtle temperature variations across surfaces, allowing me to identify potential concealed issues that standard visual inspections might miss.
Thermal imaging can help identify:
Hidden Moisture: Temperature anomalies that may indicate plumbing leaks or roof intrusions behind drywall.
Insulation Deficiencies: Areas of missing, settled, or inadequate insulation affecting the home's energy efficiency.
Electrical Hot Spots: Overheating circuits, breakers, or electrical components that could pose a safety hazard.
Please note: Thermal imaging is not "X-ray vision" and cannot see through walls or guarantee the discovery of every concealed defect. It is an invaluable supplemental tool that guides the visual inspection and provides a more complete picture of the property.
